Snap apart into 2 separate battery holders

Well constructed LensCoat BatteryPouches. One can leave the 2 pouches connected or snap apart for separate use. There are no directions on the retail package to let one know that the units snaps apart. The description in Amazon does however note this snap-a-part feature. The dimensions listed in this product by Amazon are incorrect, as the listing states 1 x 1 x 1. The pouches are each approx. 2" x 2" x 3/4". These are fabric pouches and not neoprene. I chose the Snow pattern. Closures are hook & loop. Battery storage can be any of the following: AA, AAA, 123A, most digital rechargeable compact batteries.

Simple and useful device

This works just fine. Four AA batteries go on one side, four on the other, each side has a velcro flap that closes over the top. It is a simple but useful device that seems adequately well made.

Pouches better than plastic box for batteries

there are two similar versions on the market. I'll be honest, I like both the LensCoat or ThinkTank battery pouches and I use both about equally. I think each has their own strengths. The LensCoat design is two pouches that snap together, ThinkTank is a single pouch that rolls and folds in upon itself if. Both pouches hold 4 AA batteries, for a total of 8 batteries, I can also put several AAA batteries in them. The LenCoat pouch will hold two 18650 batteries, it will just barely hold three; the ThinkTank pouch will not. I could run a narrow belt or strap through the LensCoat loop, if I needed; the ThinkTank does not have such a loop. I have also used each as a kind of wallet for inflated foreign currency. Although they hold more batteries, I like these fabric pouches more than the small plastic boxes. I will likely continue purchasing each product.

Strong and reliable.

I use these for a variety of applications to hold AA and AAA batteries (I'm a photographer who needs spare AA and AAA batteries with me pretty much all the time), and they work great for each and every use. The fabric they are made of is very strong and water-resistant, and the velcro keeps the pouch tightly shut even under stress. They are a bit on the expensive side...but they are truly high quality. If you plan on needing extra AA or AAA batteries with you while you're traveling, backpacking, or just storing them in a non-climate controlled location, these pouches are perfect for these uses.

Very handy and inexpensive...

Worked just about the same as the description on the website. I bought both the ones for the camera battery and the ones for the four AA batteries. As other reviewers indicated, the yellow edging provides quick access in the bag. I guess you could make some black marks every ½ inch or so on the yellow edge to differentiate the AA's from the camera battery bags. The bags come snapped together, but pull apart easily. It was easily worth the price. I just wish someone would make leather pouches to attach to the camera strap. I have an old Sony single battery pouch, but can't find anyone else who makes them now days.

Convenient value and comes in many colors

Very happy with this, a smart convenient way to carry AA batteries on a photo job. These go on my belt, no more batteries bulging out of my pocket or weighing it down. Not to mention easier to swap out batteries quickly.

These are fantastic. I love them. I have used them several time already. They make it so easy to have extra power when you are hiking along a trail, and don't want to be bothered by a heavy backpack.
