works great with Smartthings

I bought this because I have a Zigbee fan controller in my bedroom and after moving my Smartthings hub awhile ago it would never stay connected. This particular fan controller is notorious for having a short range and the usual fix is to put a Zigbee plug-in outlet in the room to act as a repeater. I finally got around to doing that, and this is the outlet I chose to buy. I got it open box so it was actually the cheapest option available, but I appreciate that it is well designed and allows the second outlet to still be used. So many smart outlets are too big and make it so that you can't use the second outlet. Installing the outlet with Smartthings was straightforward, I did not have any issues. It solved my fan controller problem, the fan controller is now connected all the time which is fantastic. The outlet hasn't had any issues staying connected. I suspect that the other review on this item, complaining about connection issues, wasn't actually for this item (notice it is not a verified review). The mentions of using an app to reset a wireless connection, along with comparing it to TP Link who does not make Zigbee switches, makes it pretty clear they are referring to a wifi outlet which this is not. This outlet requires a compatible hub and can not work at all over wifi. Also, this is not a dimmer outlet, it is an on/off outlet only with no dimming capability. ETA: after almost 2 months of usage, I haven't had any issues with this dropping off my hub or anything - it has worked perfectly the whole time

They Just Work... Pair with Hubitat

Easy to pair with Hubitat C-7 and C-8, turn lights and appliances on/off. Very reliable. Using 9 units, no failures or issues. Like Leviton quality and reliability, worth paying a little bit more.

Didn’t work.

The first one came and the box was opened and re-taped. I didn’t bother even trying it. So I returned and bought another one. It ain’t work. Wouldn’t connect. Then I returned and bought another one. Wouldn’t connect. I bought 3 & struggled b/c I hve Xfinity and wanted to get compatible smart plug. Well 3rd time Wasn’t a charm. I bought Cync plugs and lightbulbs and they worked perfectly. Downloaded the app and have been using them for 2wks w/o a problem.

Easy install with Alexa

Purchased to control table lamp in bedroom. Integration with Alexa was both easy and great to tell Alexa turn off the light and it is done.

Broke within 3 months of buying

I've used multiple Leviton products successfully before. This one was easy to set up, but broke within 3 months of purchase. It stayed in the same location with zero impact or physical damage. One day it turned off and would not turn back on, tried in multiple sockets. Leviton products are fairly pricey so I'm unhappy to see the quality did not match the price point.

Needed a dimmable smart outlet but this thing is crappy. It constantly goes offline (sometimes while you are using it theougjt the app). Won't come back online. Resetting the wireless configuration doesn't help even though the app says the process worked. TP Link's products are so much more reliable but they don't make dimmable plug.

Dead reliable

I have all the imaginable house, automation, gadgets, and switches from Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Z wave, Zigby, etc. This switch is a bit more expensive, but never fails, and I love the fact that it has a memory setting in case of a power outage that it resumes to the state it was in after the power resumes. Great function, if your powering critical component.
