Auto on/off not working-up date 1/17/22

Very bright and the pulsing light is exceptional for daytime riding. However the auto on/off function never worked even after several full battery draining cycles. No fix offered by the manufacturer. Not a returnable issue. Will see what the life expectancy is. Update: after several battery cycles the auto on/off feature is now working. Great light. Update 9/27/2022 after nine months of daily use the auto on function is sporadically failing. During an uninterrupted 3 hour ride the light will inadvertently cycle off. When I notice this I tap the light and it comes on and functions for awhile before turning off again. Battery fully charged the previous night. Suspect that the motion detection sensor is faulty. Contacted Light In Motion and am providing them with proof of purchase. Outcome unknown. Update 9/28/2022 Light in Motion customer service has been very responsive and is providing a replacement light under warranty.

self contained light that works great

This is one of those things you order that you didn't realize you needed. Why? Well, because you can simply leave both the front and back lights will begin operating when you move the bike. They are exceptionally bright from a good distance, and the blinking pattern almost forces you to notice them. Installing them is a simple matter of attaching the holders to the handlebars and the seatpost (or elsewhere in the back) by inserting them and making a quarter turn. I did have one fall out but think that was a matter of me forgetting to turn the light in the holder rather than a bad holder. They are supremely overbuilt in that they are completely weather proof. There are no exposed seams, nor is there anywhere I can find where water could impinge on the circuit boards or LED lightbulbs. As far as I can tell, battery life is probably around six to eight hours. There is no way to determine what remaining battery life might be on a charge so you need to play it safe and charge the lights after riding a certain number of hours. (I usually charge them after two or three rides.) Removing them from the holders is a simple task of a quarter turn. You then bring them inside, plug them into a USB connector and let them charge. There are small red LEDs that blink to indicate the lights are charging, and when charging is complete, the LED stops blinking and is a solid light. We have some USB wall plugs, and these don't seem to fit well when you are charging the front and rear side-by-side. However, if you are plugging in just one, there should be no problem. When they are both plugged in in the wall plug, they bump into each other, stopping the charging process. Plugging them into a dedicated adapter, such as one from Apple, enables them to charge side-by-side without any problems. They charge relatively quickly, but I didn't actually time them. I just plug them into the charger and unplug them when I'm ready for my next ride. Customer support is awesome. The company is very responsive and customer friendly. To me, that's just as important as product quality, and the people here pass the grade on both counts.

Long Battery Life...Very Well Made....Exceptionally Bright....Overall: OUTSTANDING!

I took the VYA PRO out of the packaging, turned it on and immediately blinded myself. There is a reason you can see it from far away: IT IS EXTREMELY BRIGHT! And there are no batteries to replace. All you do is plug it into a USB port for recharging. Battery life states 6 hours, but I've been getting over 8 hours of life. I've been using cheap Chinese rear lights on my commuter and decided to upgrade to the VYA Pro. The VYA Pro is compact, extremely well made, bright, waterproof, and the battery lasts. And my most favorite aspect is the auto on/off. I can't tell you how many times I've come home from a ride and forgot to turn my old light off. The auto on/off of the VYA Pro works flawlessly. I can't recommend this light enough. I rarely write reviews, but when I do it is because a product or service is above and beyond phenomenal or absolutely terrible. This product is above and beyond phenomenal and I highly recommend it. My next light purchase will be the Light and Motion's Trail 1000 FC.

Great light,so far.

Have used this light 5 days a week for a month and its worked perfectly.Have used niterider and cygolite taillights in the past 2 years.Both failed inside of 5 months.Since this light is a completely sealed unit,hoping it will last much longer

Very bright

This is what you need these days if you want to be seen. Very bright, good battery life. The seat Cosmo is cheap, wish they would have made that part better, and cheaper. Too expensive for that part. This light however, is an excellent value. You won’t be disappointed with the brightness and battery life.

TBD but so far I'm growing concerned

TBD I love the size and the concept of a light that auto turns off but so far battery life is not as advertised, not even close. Maybe it's a defect and I plan to speak with manufacturer but right now, not so good.
