Not what I expected
Disappointed with the pad. Being Limb saver, I expected much better recoil buffering. It wasn't much different than a thick coat. Ended up buying a Magnum recoil pad which is way better and goes on easier.

Ate 3 cases of 20ga no problems.
Worked as good or better than other similar products at a recent bird shoot. I would recommend this over the other brands I saw in the field on durability and protection.

Outstanding product!! Clavicle and ac joint surgery, no pain with this pad!
I have had two surgeries within 4 years on my right shoulder for 2 different injuries. First, full reconstructive clavicle surgery which resulted in a titanium rod and several screws. Second, high grade AC joint separation, tearing all 3 ligaments holding my clavicle/hardware to my shoulder. Having now, a synthetic and a cadaver ligament wrapped around the titanium rod. After recovery I was cleared to trap shoot again but my shoulder is now very sensitive to the touch. Shooting a 12 gauge, I would be in much pain after very little time and sometimes the a 20 gauge as well. After using this pad I can shoot the 12g ALL DAY and feel like NOTHING happened!! Unbelievable! I bought this product based on reviews, it seemed to be a good product. Well hot dang, I couldn’t be happier with this product! Also, it is pretty comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. It doesn’t really twist and slide after properly adjusting it. Again, VERY satisfied!????????

Limbsaver Shooting Pad
Not sure why they want a rating for "Warmth"....it has nothing to do with that. But, it is a good value for the money for a shooting pad for the shoulder. I'm a disabled vet but dearly love shooting. I have a bolt action 30:06 that I reload for and love tinkering. But the recoil really bothers my neck and back injuries. I bought this and it tames the kick surprisingly well. I had spinal surgery just a couple of months ago and I'm itching to get back to shooting. You can bet I'll be wearing this when I do.

Getting older. Getting wimpier. Need the orotection
Seems a little flimsy. Hard to get adjusted and to fit properly. Also pretty thin. Fine for smaller calibers. Not sure will work as well on big magnums.

Tames Recoil
I spent a couple days zeroing my Remington 700 SPS 30-06 due to mount misalignments (ended up ordering different mounts). I also have the limb saver recoil classic butt stock pad. After firing 40 rounds the first day, from the bench, I could barely lift my arm and it hurt for about a week. I was looking at shooting vests with removable recoil pads but most were too expensive to just wear at the range. I bought the limb saver shoulder pad and now I can shoot over 40 rounds without any shoulder discomfort the next day. The plus side is during summer months I can wear just a t-shirt under this and it doesn't get too hot. I wear this only while practicing at the range because I don't seem to feel recoil when hunting.

Works fantastic! .. Had recent major shoulder surgery , still on rehab but duck season is here . When the unit arrived ( promptly) I was very skeptical due to the fact that the actual pad is very thin . The holder/ strap is of good quality and stitching , and comfortable to wear . When used I would estimate the felt recoil is reduced at least 30% , that may seem conservative but I know everyone is different . Is it worth it ,YES. Would I buy it again , YES . The only negative I've experienced is if you wear it as the outermost layer , it has a tendency to shift /slide . When I wear a thin undershirt then the limb saver then an over shirt there is no problem . Oh and I am left handed , absolutely reversible .

Great Product, It's a keeper
While shooting a Remington .300 Ultra Magnum with 180 grain rounds can be a beast, without the limb saver. The recoil was similar to the recoil of a .308 shooting 168 grain rounds. Shooters talk about having sore shoulders or that that can only stand shooter only 4 to 6 rounds, (the cost of the rounds don't help much) The LimbSaver I bought took away 50% of the recoil. If you're shooting anything with a big recoil punch, and you have to stop shooting because of it, get the LimbSaver. Once you order one and you open the box, it looks cheap and but when you take it to the range and try it out you're find out that you won't be sending it back.

very good shoulder pad
very good shoulder pad. I used it along with shotgun shooting trap and also together with limbsaver's recoil pad on my 308 bolt action. It works really well, especially on the 308, pretty reduce the impact to ZERO(I would say 70-80% by the recoil pad, and the rest by shoulder pad). And even though it's not designed to be both hand use, I could flip it over and used it on my left shoulder just fine.

Ordered this because my mosin nagant kicks like a fothermucker and i have low body fat.The silicone pad inside is a bit thin so i added a piece of rag in it and now it feels like a pillow. Definetly recommend. It totally removes the possibility of discomfort with any caliber. You deserve it

haven't tried it yet...
just bought it yesterday, it was delivered today (a day early) so absolutely no complaints there. it looks exactly like i thought it would. hoping to hit the range today to check it out. i bought it for my PSE crossbow. i have arthritis and bursitis in my shoulder so after a few shots my shoulder is done. hoping this will help solve the impact issues

Works as advertized.
I bought this to use with my K31, which has a bit of a kick. I didn't want to use a butt model as that would require some modification to the gun. I bought this, and found it does absorb a lot of the recoil. It does not make it like a 22, but it certainly is reduced to a tolerable level. The biggest advantage to this design is you only need one pad for all your guns. Fits a broad number of people designs!
