Perfect for background music during garden parties

I ordered one of these units as well as a competing product to see which would work better for backyard patio garden parties. This model easily won that face off (if you would like to read about which product lost that “Pepsi Challenge,” it’s in another of my reviews). First of all, the unit looks decent. The fake LED flames looked very realistic at night, even when placed by a fire pit with ACTUAL flames in it. Seven hours combined LED light/audio playback time is great. The fact that these units are rechargeable via the now ubiquitous USB-C charging protocol (one small cable included) is very convenient. It takes a careful read through the instructions, but once paired to one another, two of these units appear as ONE unit to your Bluetooth device (phone/tablet/laptop). This means a pair of them become a TRUE STEREO playback system. The pairing affects all controls—even the LED lights (hitting the lights off button turns off the LEDs in BOTH units). The audio from them isn’t exceedingly loud, nor does it have much low end response. But the mid and higher end response is decent, and it is nice to have the original stereo field imagery of the music being played. Also, having a lower overall volume output is more of a “feature” than a bug: the audio level sits nicely under the polite conversation of an outdoor party, the likelihood of neighbors calling the police for a noise complaint would be very, very low. The only reason I am giving this unit four stars rather than five is that the segmented plastic pole these mount to was pretty flimsy, and I had to remove two segments in order to make the units sit perpendicular to the ground without the pole bending over. This put the top of the units about three feet off the ground. At that height, the music sounded okay when standing near to a unit and very good if a listener were sitting in a chair nearby. It also looked attractive at that height, and perfectly upright and straight. Highly recommended. EDIT (5/13/2022): We experienced a huge, driving rainstorm a few nights ago, and I was not in town to take these tiki lights/speakers inside. They got pounded by high winds and a torrential downpour for hours. When I got home the next day, I brought them in the house, turned them on, paired them to each other, then paired them to my iPhone. They worked perfectly. I was very impressed. Consider this review 4 1/2 out of five stars, then. Very highly recommended!

Love this terrific speaker!

Really, really love this speaker - it has a cool beachy, outdoor vibe and even just sitting on a table it's cool to look at. It does also happen to work very well - super easy to pair, the tiki light is a cool touch, and the volume/sound quality is great. Looks like a real tiki torch but SO much more classy LOL. You have the option to turn on JUST the light, or keep it on with your music. The controls are on the top which makes it easy to turn up/down the volume etc. (Or volume control, next track etc works seamlessly with your phone too) I love this speaker so much that as soon as I got mine and set it up, I IMMEDIATELY bought another to give as a housewarming gift for some friends who just bought a home with a pool area. It even comes in a cool looking, "giftable" box. Two thumbs up!

I love this!!! I just got it today. Super fast delivery! The sound is pretty loud. Quality is great. I'm planning on buying another one. I"m using it for Halloween so that I can play Halloween Music for the trick or treaters. It came with a stake . I can stand it on my yard.

Broke within 1 month of opening.

My loved one adored this as a birthday gift, but unfortunately, it’s already broken after just being opened for 1 month. I went to plug in the charger & the inner charging port shifted to the side & would not move back, despite gentle efforts. Now it cannot charge & be used. This product has never been dropped or used incorrectly, so there’s no reason it should be breaking SO soon. I am extremely disappointed to see there’s no way to contact the manufacturer & receive product support. I would be happy to change my review if I receive a proper replacement of this item.
