When metric is what you need.

You know, there's not much difference between 2mm and 5/64" (less than 1/1000" difference); but when you're dealing with spring pins (a.k.a. roll pins), it's always best to have as good a fit as you can. This was the right tool for the job. My only complaint is that I wish the handle was longer and the shaft shorter.

The grip could be longer, the knurling on the grip is nice to hold on to. It bent the first time I used it

Diameter of shaft wrong

I ordered two of these for a very specific job while working on a Mercedes Benz engine. The diameter needed to be exactly 3 mm. The two punches I received were both stamped as 3 mm but the diameters were different. The difference was big enough to be seen with the naked eye, but I tested with my micrometer and one was larger than 3 mm and one was smaller than 3 mm. The total difference was about 1/2 mm. I could not use either of the two for their intended purpose. I ended up going to Home Depot and finding a suitable nail and bought two of them. The nails worked perfectly and cost much less. Bottom line, if the diameter of these punches is critical to you do not order these because, apparently, the diameter is not critical to the manufacturer.

Works as advertised

I had a compression pin that wouldn’t budge. Tried everything. This loosened it in about 10 seconds. Helps to have the right tool.
