Sizing: Read this before ordering

I see several reviews that state they ordered a men's size, but received the equivalent women's size, which is one size smaller. I noted this when ordering mine. When placing the men's size 10 boot in the cart, it suddenly becomes a woman's size 10 boot, equivalent to a men's 9. I had to take a leap of faith and order a size 11, which is a men's/woman's 10/11. Sure enough that's what arrived and it fit. So until Amazon corrects this, pay close attention the description in the cart and adjust size to compensate if necessary. If it appears as a woman's boot, go back and order a size larger.

Caution on sizing

CAUTION! Just like others have said in the reviews here - I ordered a Size 11 of the item advertised as "Muck Boot Chore Cool Soft Toe Warm Weather Men's Rubber Work Boot" only to receive a size 11 in Women's (Size 10 Men's)... which is too small. Had to return and get a size bigger. I usually wear a US Size 10.5 or 11 but the US10 Men's was definitely too small.

Dry feet...

I would have given these boots 5 stars if they had better arch support. After a dull day of working in these my in steps hurt. The ly are comfortable otherwise. They are true to fit and keep my feet dry. Do not buy this series Muck if you want your feet to be warm. They are completely uninsulated. I would recommend them and buy them again.

Excellent!

These boots are great! Highly recommend them for around the farm chores/tasks. They suite my needs for the Florida weather. I have tried to wear them without socks a few times, in a rush, and when I go to take them off the insoles easily pull out, just a heads up. On the up side, if you prefer a special insole, that’s easily remedied.

Love these boots, with one exception

I was attrached to these boos because of their steel shank. I have a pair of Bog Boots, but the soles are rubber and when you use your foot on a shovle you feel it in the sole of your foot. Bog has an "Urban Gardner" that has a steel shank, but it is no a high boot, so in my opinion it is for walking in a garden and not working in one. These boots are great. Comfortable, waterproof and great for my chore which can take me from a garden, into the woods or down by the pond. My only grip is that boots like these should have a solid piece of rubber that will allow you to remove one of the boots using the heel of your other boot. There is a little nub that is useless. But that is the onluy downside.

Great fit + support

I had my size from a store that carried these locally so already was ahead of the game. Came here for the price, which was the best. Wore them the entire first day they arrived and they were great- just what I was looking for. Perfect for the garden, mud, hunting, fishing and mulching. Very satisfied - would buy again and recommend. I like the fit - my feet do not slip and slide around inside and they provide good support. I have had trouble with shoes and boots that are flat inside- these boots are not flat, the sole is supportive and the Vibram sole with the built in lugs provide great traction.

Boots look nice but they do fit a bit big

Boots look nice but they do fit a bit big. I normally wear a size 10 and ordered the same. There is a bit of "slop" I'm the back heel area so would not say fit completely true. I tried a size 9 on at a big box store and they were too tight but they were the attic boot so.cant say they fit the same. Regardless I decided to keep them but a 9.5 would be perfect I'm this boot if they made it.

They're really easy to slip on and off

These are my go to boots for working in garden, mowing, cutting wood and other yard work activities. They're really easy to slip on and off. After a couple of seasons with them, they've held up well for basic homeowner tasks. They have not been fully abused in a lot of long term use, so I can't speak to that. I think they're fairly comfortable, but not sure I'd want to be in them all day. I've had no problem with serious mud / muck. I have used them in the snow, but I consider these more a three season boot.

Great boot - a bit hard on sensitive ankle bones at first

2014-07-18 UPDATE: These boots no longer seem to bother my ankles even when wearing them for a long time. Apparently my ankles have toughened up as I don't believe this material really breaks in. These are the boots I grab when heading outside for three seasons of the year with the exception of really cold days when I'll grab -100 boots. In summer the goto footgear for the yard is a pair of clogs. I would buy these boots again. Upgraded to 4 stars. ____________________________________________ ORIGINAL REVIEW: I would give these five stars if it weren't for the aching ankle bones after wearing them for a few hours mowing tall wet grass. To be fair, I've always had to choose shoes carefully as some of them will make things sore around my outer ankle bones within an hour or so. I really like the boots--easy on and off, easy to keep clean, dry, and comfortable... except that my ankle bones had enough after 3-4hrs and I had to switch to different shoes for a few days. Thicker socks help a bit, but it looks like I'll only wear these for short chores. I have enough of those that they'll still be useful. Next time I'll likely get a pair of Dunlops. I tried on a friend's pair right after getting my ankles too sore to wear these and they weren't bad even then. The bottom line: If you don't have a problem with any other shoes or boots irritating your ankles, this is a great pair of boots and you probably won't have this problem with them. If your ankles do get sore when something presses against them, try Dunlop rubber boots instead.

... every month so I opted for these and I'm glad I invested in them

I got sick of buying mud boots every month so I opted for these and I'm glad I invested in them. I saw reviews of them being stiff and hard around the ankles so I chose to get 1 size bigger than my normal size. So in the summer their kinda big but I have no issues with stiffness. Come fall and winter thick socks will fill in the extra space. I wear them every day and they are totally waterproof, these boots are great! Finally no muddy socks while doing my farm chores with pigs.
