Long Lasting!
This product is terrific. I bought two of these in 2005 or 2006. One of them quit grabbing just a few weeks ago. Still have the other one and it is working great. Hopefully, this new PikStik is of the same quality as the one I have already.

Best claw out there.
I’ve bitten a few different types of these claws since we use them to clean up after the kids and to get stuff down from our high pantry shelves. This is by far the best one out of the half dozen I’ve bought. The trigger action is a smooth, light pull. It will grab a single sheet of paper from a tile floor. And it’s sturdy enough to pick up heavy stuffed animals or get cereal boxes from a high shelf. Are their sturdier ones out there for heavy lifting, yeah, but all around this one is by the best all around.

DESCRIPTION DOES NOT MATCH SHIPPED PRODUCT
Description reads "PikStik Classic C-361, Aluminum Reacher,". The tube is plastic, not aluminum. The design flaw which leads to the handle breaking where it is attached to the square plastic tube has not been addressed. I have purchased this style PikStik before and each (save 1 shorter model) has failed with a stress crack where the handle is riveted to the shaft. Each time a load is lifted, the tube and handle move slightly - stressing the molded plastic handle where the handle enters the tube. Service life has averaged more than 1 year, All said, this is the style my wife prefers and I will continue to purchase. I keep a new spare to hand. April 2023 Description unchanged. Failure mode unchanged. Same as described before. I have learned how to disassemble the gripper end and combine parts from broken plastic PickStiks and reassemble to extend the life cycle. It is curious that there has not been a response from PikStik or Amazon correcting the description or addressing my review. I am working on an aluminum tube PikStik next.

I very strongly recommend the Pikstick and I will never pay for any other type ever again.
There are various styles or designs of "reach sticks" or "grabbers" to help people who have physical handicaps do things they otherwise could not do, or do them with much less effort than would be required otherwise. Since I do have a pretty severe physical handicap, I have used reachers or grabbers such as the Pikstik for quite some time -- and I have experience with a variety of designs. In my decades of experience with these types of aids the PIKSTIK design is far superior to any other. The end with the pincer or clamp is correctly oriented for effective use, all the other designs have the pincer oriented vertically instead of horizontally and is problematic for picking up canned goods or bottles for example. Furthermore the handle end of the Pikstik is useful for pulling objects toward you, or pushing them away from you. It's even useful for scratching the bottom of your foot (for those who otherwise cannot get at the bottom of their feet). You simply can't do these things with other designs. I had just about given up on finding a replacement for my old, worn out Pikstik because the "stupidly" designed grabbers always pop to the top of the list making it hard to find the good Pikstik. Believe me, a lot more people would use grab sticks if the Pikstik was at the top of the list instead of the bottom. You can't go wrong with the Pikstik!!

Wobbly plastic device.
Don't fall for the title. The only aluminum in this grabber is in a few rivets holding its wobbly, all-plastic construction together. The grip handle and trigger are cheap, thin and hollow, they twist around and will pinch.

Well Done
I used it to pick up my feral cats paper food bowls. And pick up what little stuff there was in the yard. Then went inside and picked up the house dog toys, lost socks, it even picked a pencil up off of a wooden floor. I’m impressed with this brand and kick myself in the behind for not buying it sooner..Reccomend

It's length
I disliked the fact it was about six inches longer than my original Pikstik, making it rather unwieldy. There was no mention of the product coming in different sizes. The style was more useful than other reachers I have used but too long.
