Brilliant urban pothole detector

In the autumn, my morning ride is before sunrise, so my riding buddy and I have been having near misses with potholes and debris. After he showed up with a headlight I stopped for one too. I read several reviews and watched a few videos but saw no reviews of this particular light. I purchased it on faith because I have a great rear light from this company. Thus light is very bright for what I need it for, and I even got a surprise compliment from a stranger I passed the first day I used it. Now, that's stranger than fiction! LOL!

Good solid commuting light

This is a good solid commuting headlight for urban/suburban cycling. I mounted it right above my fork to light up the road to see hazards, potholes etc. I use a smaller flasher light on my handlebar. Recommend.

Nice Light No Amber

Nice bright light, but didn't have side amber lights. I like that it's rechargeable.

Not what you get..

Got this for my 11 year old daughter's new bike. I liked the visibility feature where light, which was suppose to be amber, will reflect to the right and left. I don't know if this is an old listing and the product has change, but there is no amber lighting. There are a couple of curved reflective areas which reflect the light to the right and left, but it is white light, same as what is projected forward. I looked at the Planet Bike website and their listing for this particular light also has no amber lighting. It's well built. The mounting bracket is a bit of a pain to install. It has a metal cylinder to receive the screw to tighten, which is sturdy, but slips out easily until you get the screw set. I'll probably keep it.
