As expected for a less padded sock.

There is virtually no padding on the top of the sock, which makes them the Lite version. As long as your shoe does not have anything protruding where it comes in contact with the topside of your foot, you will be OK. Padding on the bottom is more than adequate. They were a tighter fit than the crew style.

Thicker than expected

My husband wears these socks but in the very short crew size and we wanted The same exact suck just a little longer so it would cover his ankle unfortunately these are a lot thicker than the short version so we had to return them

Longest lasting socks I've owned

I have worn these socks for over 10 years and they are still going strong. Best overall sock I've ever owned. This newest version seems to be the same, but only time will tell.

They don't make them like they used to.....

Looking to replace my 20 year old Thorlo socks with a near identical model but ... they don't make them like they used to. Yes, those original socks have seen regular use in the gym and on the trail. These are of good quality but wearing thin at the ankles from shoe rubbing after only one season.

Incredible Cushion

I've used these for several runs now, and they're great. I haven't worn socks like these before – the bottom (sole) is extremely padded while the rest of the sock is thinner. I've had trouble with blisters recently and these offer a lot of relief; on shorter runs where before I was getting blisters I'm not anymore, and on longer runs I couple these socks with athletic tape and have no problems whatsoever (old socks and tape still led to blisters). Despite thickness of the sole I haven't had any sweat/heat issues. Can't comment on durability yet but they seem very well made.
