Double check everything
Puller stopped working on first time out in middle of a pull thought the motor fried but turns out factory wiring was poorly connected redid the connection in the on off switch box everything is working now but we'll find out on the next trip

Awesome Puller!!
I am really pleased with the performance of this unit. I have friends with more expensive Pot Pullers but this out performs them all. It's speed, power and ease of use meets or exceeds competitors with this type puller. I'm always hesitant to provide a review until I've thoroughly used a product. It's the peak of Crab Season in the PNW and we've probably pulled over 100 pots in the last month and it performed without any glitches. The quality is great and performance superb.

Does the job!
I picked up one of these when it was on sale and I used this for the first time a few weeks ago pulling pots in Bodega Bay. We had 11 pots at various depths from 40' to 90' and this puller worked like a champ each time! Originally I tried mounting it on a removable Scotty platform that goes in a pole holder and that was a disaster. Almost broke my pole holder. I remounted it on the gunnel while we were out on the water and it was a much more stable platform to work with! I also have it paired with the rotating Scotty mount and it is just freaking awesome. Did not have any issues pulling pots at all. We were pulling single pots with no trouble. I read some guys are pulling multiple pots at the same time?! Maybe you can do two..but if you are pulling the cheap 24x24 pots or the 30" round pots one at a time that is not a problem at all. Lastly...if your pot lines have weights, you will want to change those out ASAP. My older pots had weights on the line and we had to stop the puller each time a weight got up to the pulley otherwise it would get jammed up in there and we would have to stop everything to get it sorted out. Its more of a hassle than anything. Just something to be aware of. Good luck and enjoy!

Trac crab puller is magic.
Installing as easy. I added a Scotty plug and removed quick connect. I pulled 30 Hoops at 100 feet fast. Nothing negative to add. It’s fast and strong.

Good product for the money
There was a small problem with the wheel but was resolved quickly. Works great for pulling my crab and shrimp pots.

Pulls Traps Great, Poor Electrical Connectors
I used this Pot Puller for 1 season so far and it has worked great! The only problem is that the electrical whips that are provided with the unit are kind of crap. I recommend just ordering a better pair ahead of time.

Life Changing & Easy to Use!
This is easy to install, very easy to use, and pulls crab pots very quickly! Best investment if you are a crabber or shrimper!

Quality is down, price is up....
We have been using these for the last 5 years and upon needing to replace some have noticed a massive decrease in the quality. One of the new units bent an arm on the first day using, while not lifting anywhere near the 110 pounds these are supposed to be rated for. Even worse, all three of the units we have purchased this year have had serious quality control issues with the wiring and control box. The butt splices pull apart before even installing and threads on wire nuts going into and out of the electric housing box are either not threaded on or poorly threaded. Each unit has had the wiring pull apart forcing us to try and make repairs while out on the water. One of the units has also been blowing inline fuses in between the puller and the battery. It's been harder to find the alternatives we used to use, the Ace Line Haulers, but it's looking like it would be worth out time to search harder because these Trac units are an absolute waste of money.
