Not exact measurements
I would say the blankets overall are a good product and came in quick. The only downsize is the blankets measure more of a 5 x 6 instead of a 6 x 8 like advertised.

better fold it in 2 layers
It's not so good as I wanted but any way it's large enough and I can fold it in twice and than its work for my goals. I use it for welding and to be sure you will not demand your floor need at least 2 layers

Good quality large welding blanket
I'm a new welder and got this to provide some protection for the garage when welding. The blanket is large, 6' x 8' and made of fire retardant fiberglass cloth that's smooth to the touch and doesn't leave glass fibers in my fingers. It has a 1" wide folded border and metal grommets at the corners for tie-downs. The blanket is rated up to 1000F and is designed to protect against transient heat and spatter which is exactly what you need when welding. It helps prevent incidental damage but welding sparks and spatter tends to go everywhere so it's best to keep your extinguisher nearby just in case. I haven't had occasion to use it with an actual welding project so don't know for sure how it holds up against actual welding spatter but it doesn't burn when exposed to direct flame so it's definitely heat resistant.

Does the Job!
We got this for my husband to when welding things that can not be moved. He has had to do some home repair welding that was in friend's homes. In order to protect their other belongings, he plans to use this to cover and shield the areas that can not risk a spark. It arrives ready to use. It seems to be well made. It is very heavy duty. The stitchwork and seams are all straight and even. I expect it to last for years. To test it out we covered a pile of flamable cardboard boxes with it. He then proceeded to MIG weld some scraps together. Nothing got hot or caught fire so we feel it was a success. We would buy it again.

nice blanket
I'm a new welder and figured I'll eventually have a project where this level of protection will be required. Not today, but I took it out of the package and inspected. It's a large and very nice hemmed-edged and grommeted heavy-duty fiberglass blanket. Exactly as expected.

Heavy duty protective tarp
Excellent protection and will work great for snuffing fire from crafting or tool work. I have laid under my laser engraver and if something catches fire I'll drop over to starve it of oxygen. Large and heavy duty. Very happy!

Nice heavy-duty blanket
Large 6' x 8' blanket, about 4 pounds total weight. Nice and sturdy. Works well to block others from seeing the welding arc.
