Hard to unscrew base
Super cute blender, just impossible for me to unscrew the base from the glass jar in order to clean it properly. I will have to get a neighbor to see if he can unscrew it. UPDATE: Neighbor man was able to unscrew it by wrapping thick rubber bands around it to help with grip. Please note I got a replacement blender from Amazon and was going to send this back, but it, too, had the same problem. So, it's just that the factory puts these bases on really tight. Also, contrary to what another review wrote and what the instruction booklet says, you CAN put all the base parts including blade in the dishwasher (it shows placement in dishwasher in product VIDEO). However, dishwasher is not needed; all you need is warm or hot soapy water and a small brush; there is no need to touch the blade if you have a brush.

Super cute-Price is right!
I was specifically looking for a retro blue blender. There are several out there that are crazy high priced. This one was moderately priced for how cute it is. I’m not a chef- I didn’t need fancy settings, so this one works just fine for me. First one that arrived was filthy!!! Like covered in black greasy dust that was even inside the dial! It almost looked like some dumped contents of a printer cartridge in the box- I returned it and it was replaced with no issues with one that was clearly brand new- so turned out all right in the end.

Misleading
I love the look of this blender but looks aren't everything. I returned it because I couldn't get the base off to clean it. The video shows it can be done but it was impossible for me. The seller was very nice and offered to give me 25% off but what good is it if it can't be cleaned properly?

Sadly, I will be returning…
I was so excited to get this blender… it’s got good reviews, it’s super simple and motor seems great! And love the cute retro look! My issues with this: Chrome design features are plastic. Obviously would be nicer if it were metal. I was willing to overlook this feature, not a deal breaker. But worth noting. Not all pieces are dishwasher safe! Looking back at this listing they skirt around saying the glass jar is dishwasher safe but fail to note all other pieces are not. Great! I love trying to wash little blades shooting in every direction by hand! Sounds safe! Next there is a silicon plastic ring between the blades and the body of the metal bottom piece. My biggest concern being food particles getting stuck under this plastic piece and not being able to clean it all out… then eventually it will get moldy and no longer be of use. What a waste!!! Also, ew. And lastly… I love to be able to use the mason jar hack to turn my blenders into bullets…. This blade and screw top bottom is too large to fit on my mason jars. Very disappointing! This is a return for me!

Electric Hazard/ seller doesn't honer warranty replacement
Stopped working and smoking! We used it a handful of times at most. Followed the return process a month ago but haven't heard back from the manufacturer. Hopefully Amazon can step in an make it right.
