False positive was disappointing

Purchased some time ago, but used it for the first time last week. Disappointed that part of the device was shipped backwards, and I needed to unscrew the arm support and reinstall it the other way. This seems simple enough, and it was, but in my ipinion it shouldn't made it out of China with the support installed wrong. Go figure eh? Picked up on coins good enough. Did have an instance of a long false positive. Turned the device off after digging for a while, and then on, only to find that the signal was gone. It's now on the shelf until fall - we'll see performance gets better then.

Wait til spring????

Not disappointed at all out of the box and assembly. Packed good, easy assembly, works good in house on carpet finding coins I knew were there. I live in SW New York, this was CHRISTMAS present. I have not tried it outside yet as I understand it might not work well in wet sand, I am reluctant to wonder outside in 2 feet of snow. So will wait until spring to give it the ultimate test outside.

Got a call from a friend the other day asking ...

Got a call from a friend the other day asking if I could come over with my metal detector. He was having a real issue finding the boundry markers on his property. Using this device we found them. It's worth the price. Only thing that I can say that is at all negative, is that it offers too many options. I'm new at using one of these.

So that feature is useless..

This piece of junk is made out of the very cheapest materials available. I couldn't believe it. They also mounted the little computer thing opposite of the way it is pictured, and that made figuring this thing out even harder. I put a screw on the ground and it read it as a coin. So that feature is useless. It also doesn't register anything further than like 4 inches from the disk, and only then at a very specific golf ball-sized area. I don't know if all metal detectors are like this, because I've never owned any besides this one. If they are all like this, then this is the most tedious headache-inducing activity I've ever heard of. Nobody would do this for fun, or even out of necessity. What a waste of time and money on this Winworst Sharp Edition Metal Detector.

Loved it. Works good.

Bought this for my husband and he loves it. You have to assemble it after you receive it and at first it was a little confusing because the readout box was not facing the correct way, but we realized that they do that to package it safely. So all you have to do is take it off turn it around and put it back on correctly. No problem. It works great and he has found lots of interesting stuff with it. It was great out on the beach.

Assembly may be required

Unit arrived at a timely manner. I opened package and found the unit assembled incorrectly, display screen pointing down instead of toward operator! I removed screws and positioned correctly. Unit seems to work correctly and look forward to finding some treasure !!
