Great Roller Frame - Wooster Brush R015-9 Roller Frame, 9-Inch

This (Wooster Brush R015-9 Roller Frame, 9-Inch) is a very durable heavy duty roller frame used by many professional painters. When you first get it you may need to adjust the 5-wire cage slightly for best roller sleeve retention. The 5/16" shank is more than strong enough for good roller tracking and the 15-degree angle is the best for balanced center of gravity. The bearings are smooth and this roller's shorter handle length is designed to be stored overnight in a 5-gallon bucket to save clean up time. I use Wooster Super/Fab 3/8" Nap covers mostly along with their green plastic snap grid that won't rust. At the end of the day I leave a small amount of paint in the bottom of my bucket and wet the roller with excess paint, drop in and snap on the lid. If the roller bearings do get any paint inside they are easier to clean than others with plastic cages. Great roller frame would highly recomend.

Fine until the roller cover goes on

Once the roller cover went on, the roller became very stiff and hard to roll. It appears that the cover squeezes the metal spokes so that they put pressure on the center.
