Good for fixing leaks in RVs, sprinters, and cargo vans

Ordered this to fix a cracked RV fan cover that got damaged during a tornado warning in Kansas. It got hit with hail repeatedly for almost an hour. Weather tape and this caulk fixed it and the white color blended with the top of the van. I also had a water leak just above the seam where the left side of the side sliding door connects. It leaked water into the van every time it rained. My husband got on top of the van, applied this to the cracked seam, and it's held up for several months now with no leaking. This is very good for leaks in vehicles, it holds to the metal well, doesn't wash off and the white is the same color as the work van and most RVs. I'm pretty sure this could be used on other vehicles as well that are in different colors, but using their clear version instead of white. 10 out of 10

Watertight seal

I was after a great watertight seal. I made a fountain and needed to seal a glass lampshade to a glass block and this is working great! Even when temps have gone below freezing it still holds water.

Great for unconvential use in decoden cases! Stinks like vinegar and burns nose hairs

Adheres really durably even to smooth surfaces. I used this for decoden phone cases as "icing" and even tho it says 24 hour cure this stuff cured in 15 minutes or so. Decoden artists beware, adding more than a drop of acrylic paint to color makes it harden faster and sometimes clump up. Also this stuff has an intense vinegar smell that burns your nose hairs and remains on it after it's cured so I recommend wiping the finished products with a bit of alcohol and spraying with no-oil alcohol based fragrance spray to cover the stink. Other than that works really well for this purpose and is flexible and just the right consistency for piping!

NOT GRAY! This product is SILVER

Saw that it had a good rating. Failed to check the reviews. I don't understand why anyone would give a good rating to a product that isn't the color it claims to be when color matters. We are removing this caulk and redoing. I don't care if it is a good quality caulk, if it looks horrible. Contacted the manufacturer they plan to add a bead of caulk to the description so you can see the what color you are getting. They have a good customer service. Not happy my husband has to remove and replace the caulk.

OMG

Holy crap this smells so bad! Ive never written a bad product review before but please be warned! It smells like stinky feet times 1000! I was laying under the back of my toilet sealing a leak & first I noticed the smell & it got stronger & stronger. Then my eyes started to water & my nose started running. Im not a wimp but this stuff kicked my butt! I dont understand it - I normally use GE brand 100% silicone but I tried this instead because it was cheaper. Big mistake! GE has zero smell. Nada. This stuff smells so bad. Im now downstairs typing this & I still smell it. How is that possible. Maybe its just trauma memory in my nose.

Hard for me to work with

This is probably very good stuff but it was extremely hard for me to get a presentable smooth finish. First, this is a mineral spirit clean up product, so you need to have that on hand. Second, it cures pretty quickly, so if it starts to skin before you try to smooth it, you are going to get a lumpy finish. In my opinion this is 10x as hard to work with as water based caulks. Just saying, if you need structural quality and are not so worried about a finished edge, this is probably your stuff. If you are a clutsy caulker, or want forgiving product, then this is probably not for you.

Clear Shower Sealing Compound

This did the big seal job on the bottom of my pieced together shower stall. It needed a very big bead, and had to tie into vinyl side and bottom. It worked great. They say adhesion to itself does not work, so you have to get it in one go. When you put in a lot of silicone compound , you get stinky volitiles which are toxic, so really it is not so easy to use. It is not rock botto cheap, but worth the money because it gives a good seal if done right. Ventilation (a fan) is a good idea. Setting is a day, 2 days is better.

Great, even for a beginner!

Opaque white, didn't seem to dry too fast for me while working. The best thing is apply it with your finger, and I had a small bowl of water with dish detergent. I'm happy with how quickly it did dry - I finished around 3-4 pm and took a shower that night at 8pm, no issues. After 2 months, it's still going strong, no peeling. I wash it with a sponge and not a brush.

Perfect for the job!

I use this product for resealing the windows in my home and it works great. Its very easy to use and its clear in colour even when dry!

Way better than common brands

This silicone will outlast any brand you'll buy from your local hardware store. It doesn't shrink and keeps a water tight seal for many years unlike the cheap brands. Well worth the extra money for the tube.
