Cute Design- would make a wonderful gift for the wine lover. Also, great to bring on vacation.

I remember when this type corkscrew first came out – and it never made any sense to me, since I felt the other wing-type looked so much easier to use. When I was offered this for free thru the Vine program, I decided to FINALLY try out this type. I think the “crab” look is very cute and it is did turn out to be relatively easy to use – but I would not replace my regular Brookstone corkscrew with it. That is obviously just a personal preference. I do think it would make a great gift for someone who likes using this type corkscrew, has a bar in his/her home, or who travels a lot and likes to bring a corkscrew with them. I am not sure I would pay $16 to buy for myself but would spend it to give as a gift since the design is really cute. I plan on using mine when I take overnight trips – never know when you might want to pick up a bottle of wine to have in your room! And the small lightweight design makes it very easy to pack.

Super cute but the foil cutter doesn't work super well

This gets a 5 star for cuteness and a 4 star for functionality. Had a little trouble getting it into the cork and the foil cutter attachment didn't really work at all for me. That said, I love this wine opener and it's really nicely made. The crab is so cute. I love the little beady eyes. This would make a great gift.

Fun but really functional!

I got this because I thought it was super cute and was surprised at just how good it actually was. If you're looking for the best corkscrew ever, this isn't for you. If you're looking for a fun, cute corkscrew that works, this is your product! It had everything you would expect, foil cutter, bottle opener, lever, corkscrew, and the handle was very comfortable and easy to us. I would recommend this for anyone that loves the beach and would be a great gift, especially when bringing some wine.

Fun and Functional

First of all, if you're looking for something to go with elegant bottles of wine and fancy parties, it's really not this, is it? It looks like a crab, it's intended for those funner, more light-hearted moments. To that end, it works well. Corkscrew was effective, foil cutter closes well where there is no risk of accidentally cutting yourself. The bottle opener is a little less accessible than a simple bottle opener, but it's a good addition for the multi-function device.

Cute and functional.

Fred WINE CORKSCREW, Stainless YES. So cute! It has a plastic body but it feels sturdy. The little knife pops out of the front as his left claw! The wine opener has that moveable leverage arm and the remaining inside is a bottle opener! It’s a cute color for our bar cart or to bring to a picnic. My husband is not one for cute kitchen gadgets but he had to admit he love this guy!

Cute and does a good job with helping you get into a bottle of wine!

Cute and does a good job with helping you get into a bottle of wine! Crabby is a fun addition to our Tiki Bar; but he is fun no matter where you have him/her. I am thinking of getting more to have, because I always bring Wine to Dinner Parties and like to have extra little hostess gifty things to go with. We also have a thing here, were people surprise others with Wine Baskets, I stocked up on Sand Pails.. I believe that Crabby, would be the cutest to go with! I love Fred and all the fun Fred Things. Fred is Fun and Functional, and this little Crabby is yet another Fun and Functional item that you probably should have. Especially if you like wine.
