Fits like a glove on earless clamps.

The media could not be loaded. When i was rebuilding my CV axle, ordered a CV boot kit from Toyota and it came with earless clamps. looked at my local automotive stores like O'Reilly's, Napa, and Auto Zone but unfortunately they didn't have these earless priers in store. i even went to Harbor Freight but no dice. Ordered these pliers on a Amazon when they were on sale for sixteen bucks (47% off) and they worked flawlessly. I was pleasantly surprised that something is still made in USA. Thank you Lisle Corp for making these 30500 pliers. I would recommend this tool to anyone who is rebuilding their axles.

Don't waste your money on the cheaper Chinese made boot clamp pliers. These are the pliers you want. Well made and work great. Lisle make good specialty tools.

Get professional results with the Lisle 30800 tool

This tool provides professional results when installing metal band style boot clamps on CV joints, steering racks or drive shafts. I recently replaced the inner tie rod ends on my Ram 3500 steering rack. After installing the tie rods I repositioned the plastic bellows on the steering rack and secured them with plastic (zip) wire ties. I don't think that the wire ties can be secured tightly enough to seal out water and dust from getting inside the boot. Additionally, it just bugged me that my finished job looked amateurish. After reading some reviews I decided to get a professional tool and ordered the Lisle 30800 along with some band clamps. The results were outstanding. The tool is easy to use and provides professional results. Definitely worth the $28 to put in your tool box.

NOT MADE IN AMERICA ANYMORE :(

I ordered these and paid good money for them over £50, they took quite a while to arrive from the US. I purchased them assuming they would be the same as the ones my friend had MADE IN AMERICA! (used the same product code). But when it arrived handles were different and is no longer stamped made in USA . I was very disappointed because i could of just bought copy ones here for less than half the price . I ordered these because i wanted made in america quality . They're not bad but don't feel as good as my friends ones not what i thought i was buying . Feel i was ripped off a bit :(
