VERSATILE

Did alot of research before purchasing. Believe it is a discontinued item, so it prompted me to make the decision to buy. It is huge and heavy as others have said, it heats evenly with no hot spots and cooks beautifully. Made chinese chicken wings in it and clean-up was easy. Made macaroni and cheese from start to finish in it and the pasta came out perfect, with creamy sauce....no boiling pasta in a separate pot. Will be making quesadilla with large burrito sized tortillas for lunch which will be no problem as pan is large enough to accommodate them. Can't wait to try making linguini with clam sauce in it as well. Who needs a stove top or oven. I understand one can even roast and bake in it. Being so large, you will need a place to store it or keep it on counter. So far, i love it and look forward to making many delicious meals in it.

It’s a great electric skillet!

I love this electric skillet!!! The only bad thing I can say is that it’s so big that I don’t have anywhere to store it so, it stays on the counter. I use it way more often than I thought that I would because you can cook so much more at a time.

Works fairly good.

I like the fact that it is stainless steel which is better for your health than cooking in aluminum, which is why I bought it. My only complaint is that the temp control is inaccurate. For example, when I set it to 250 degrees, it won't boil water. But I still like it. The nonstick surface really works great for quick cleanup, better than others I've had.

Buy An Extra Heating Element

We formerly had a large electric skillet made by Cooks. The heating element eventually wore out - we had to throw it away as the electrical cord was getting too hot (this can lead to an electrical short and even fire). This made our old electric skillet obsolete. We love our new All-Clad electric skillet - it is not as large as our old skillet but is plenty large enough for us. It cleans up very easily and is excellent for preparing many types of food. We tested it out by making spaghetti sauce which was oh so tasty. We used olive oil and simmered low-fat ground beef and Italian sausage seasoned with garlic, basil, and oregano, then added Bertolli spaghetti sauce after the ground beef had fully browned. We turned the heat down and covered the skillet to let our improvised spaghetti sauce simmer. The key is don't be in a hurry - take your time, keep the temperature low (no more than 300 to 325 degrees). The most important item is the electric skillet, and All-Clad's version is extremely well made!

The Best!

This is the best electric skillet I have ever used. It heats evenly and has a larger surface area for cooking than most. It is also dishwasher-friendly. Worth every penny!

Love this Electric skillet! Easy to use and easy to clean. It evenly heats. Preheat quickly! I like that it's round. I wish it had more vents to let the steam out, it has one iny hole in the glass lid.. My only complaint.. Which is why I gave it a 4 star instead of 5. Nice and heavy and well made. It's huge! A little smaller for me would of been fine but for bigger dishes and families, will be an asset. Very pricey but well worth the money.
